Trekking to Makalu base camp is considered as virgin wilderness. The trek starts from Tumlingtar and ends also at Tumlingtar. This remote terrain elongates east from Sagarmatha National Park, connecting to the high plateau of Tibet and the vast subtropical gorge engraved by the Arun River. The brilliant views of craggy Himalayan peaks, comprises Mt. Makalu (8463m), fifth highest in the world, Mt. Chamlang (7200 m) and Mt. Baruntse (7168m) within the remoteness of 40 kms. The Makalu-Barun Valley affords dazzling disparity, where high waterfall pour into deep gorges, craggy rocks go up from lush emerald forests, and multi-colored vegetations bloom beneath the pallid snow crests. The trail goes along the Arun, Kosi and Barun Valley escorts past yak grazing land and glaciers to the Makalu base camp from where the fantastic views of Everest, Makalu and Lhotse seems outstanding. The trek to Makalu base camp visits one of the most inaccessible and isolated areas of Nepal. This area is blessed with diversity of natural vegetation, culture and life style of local people.

Basic Terms & Conditions

  1. On payment options, the REFERENCE or DESCRIPTION part should be filled with your full names or the name of the Safari Package.
  2. 50% of Payments must be deposited for reservation.
  3. Prices are in the assumption of full payment before the trip commences.
  4. Prices are in assumption no changes in current Park fees or Park regulations.
  5. If any unexpected changes in park or camps fees there will be a surcharge.
  6. Personal documents may be requested to verify payment if necessary or requested by the online gateway provider e.g Bank.

Refund Policy or Cancellation

Depositing money to us is an indication of readiness to make use of the tour and travel arrangements and accommodation we reserve on your behalf. All cancellations are subject to a certain charge based on estimated losses properly calculated as follows:

  1. If you cancel your trip 91 days to departure, 20% is forfeited.
  2. 61 days to 90 days, 30% of the safari cost is forfeited.
  3. 40 days to 60 days 60% of the tour cost is forfeited.
  4. 31 days to 39 days, 80% of the safari cost is forfeited.
  5. If cancellations are done one month (30 Days) to the trip or No show, 100% of the safari is forfeited.
  6. For payments not paid in full to the date of the departure, and failure of making final payments, reservations will be cancelled and no refund will be availed.
