The journey to the Everest Base Camp trek starts with a flight to Tenzing Norgey Airport from Kathmandu airport with a professional English-speaking guide. Then, trek began form Lukla to Phakding then Namcha Bazzar. Namche Bazaar is the Headquarter of the Khumbu region with the facility of ATM, Bank office, Café, Bakery, Shop, Restaurant, etc. we walk to Tengboche which is also popular for the short trek “Everest sunrise trek” and so on up to Gorakshep. Gorakshep is the last point for the overnight Everest Base camp trek and we walk to Kalapatthar(5550m). On the way to the Everest trek we have to cross many up-and-down hills, suspension bridges, waterfalls, rhododendron forests, etc. we stop some place for a tea break and overnight. Every place has its traditional culture and its importance which our professional guide will explain. Not only guiding you to a place but also taking care of your health, food, etc.


Trek to Everest is everyone's dream so, Himalaya Club Tours and Travel provides an Everest trek service package for those who are highly interested in Everest. If you are interested in doing some different with the Everest trek with longer days, we have some other popular packages Everest base camp via Jiri – 22 Days, and the Everest three-pass trek – 21 Days, which are more adventurous and challenging.


Accommodation


After arrival in Kathmandu, we transferred to our hotel, which is in the peaceful street on the edge of Thamel. We provide you with a deluxe room with a private bathroom and balcony, a Tea/Coffee maker, and toiletries. Hotels are 3-star categories by the government of Nepal. The above package price includes 3-star category hotels however we also provide 4-star and 5-star hotels in Kathmandu. But during the trek, there is only Tea House/Lodge which doesn’t have any facility except the twin bed. All the rooms are in “twin share”. Single supplementary will charge $250 extra. In Kathmandu, hotels have 24/7 receptions while the trekking recitation is closed after 9-10 pm. In some places during trekking, we have private bathrooms but in some areas, there is only a shared bathroom. The entire place has a 24/7 hot water facility but during tea house in the trek, it is chargeable.

Meals


For meals, we provide a Buffet Breakfast in Kathmandu which is included in the cost. We also serve lunch and dinner from our hotel restaurant where you must pay for yourself. However, during trekking, we provide three meals per day (i.e. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) from the selected menu as available in the lodge and tea house. Food during the trek is not as well decorated as in Kathmandu. However; most of the food is prepared by the local people in their field. The food is organic, delicious, and quite healthy. We also offer a Welcome and Farewell dinner with our agency team leader with a traditional cultural dance program in Kathmandu.

Day 1 : Arrival and transfer to hotel.

According to your flight details, you will be greeted by our representative at the international airport with a paper card where your name and Himalayan Club Tours and Travel will be written. Then, we will assist you to transfer to the Hotel where you will be welcomed by tea/coffee. In the evening we will have a welcome dinner organized by our team to get to know each other after that we will spend overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2 : Trekking prepration day, Heritage sightseeing

After a short introduction with our tour guide, today we are having a tour of Kathmandu's UNESCO world heritage site with our tour guide which includes Pashupatinath Temple “Nepal's biggest Hindu temple”. It is also a place for the body crimination of the Hindu religion. Then we drive to Bouddhanath Stupa which is nearby Pashupatinath temple. Bouddhanath is the Asian biggest stupa. It was damaged by an earthquake in 2015 AD. However, it has been completely repaired recently. Then we drive to Swayambhunath Stupa, popularly known as “monkey temple” This stupa is on a small hill from where we can see the whole Kathmandu valley. At last, we will drive to Patan Durbar Square “Ancient Royal Palace”. Inside the square, you will see different Hindu temples which are Bhimsen Temple, Vishwanath Temple, Taleju Bhawani Temple, and Krishna Temple which is the most popular temple among them. Besides that, you can study Newar architecture, arts, and their culture where our tour guide will help you to describe the history of every place. In the evening we will have a meeting with our trekking guide. He will describe and check the important materials for the trekking and check our equipment for trekking after that we will spend overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 3 : Kathmandu - Lukla [2,800 m/9,184 ft]- Phakding (2,652 m/8,700 ft): 3-4 hrs

We will fly to Lukla in the early morning (40 minutes). After preparing trekking equipment and checking at the listed point to show permits, we will start our first day of trek to Phakding. After walking downhill for 3-4 hours and following Dudh Koshi River we will reach Phakding where we will have our first overnight.

Day 4 : Phakding -Namche Bazaar [3,440 m/11,283 ft]: -5-6 hrs.

The second day of our trekking starts with hot tea/coffee and some breakfast at Tea House, after that, we will begin our trekking at around 8 in the morning. The trail passes through Dhud Koshi River, the Rhododendron forest, and the Sagarmatha National Park entry gate. After crossing the up and downhill and some suspension bridges, we will reach Namche Bazaar which is located between Bhotekoshi and Dhud Koshi River, one of the developed cities of the Khumbu region. Overall, we will stay overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Day 5 : Namche Bazaar: Acclimatization Day.

Today you will have the full time to do sightseeing in Namche Bazaar which will help you to acclimate to the attitude of Namche Bazaar so that your body becomes familiar with the surroundings. Namche Bazaar is the community village of the Sherpa people where you can also get facilities like health post, post office, restaurant, bookshop, internet cyber café, etc. In the daytime, you can also hike to 'Hotel Everest View' to watch the sunrise along with that you can also visit Khumbu Valley where you can explore the village school and the health post.

Day 6 : Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft): 5 - 6 hrs.

The trail will lead through the bank of the Panchoche River and a decent rhododendron forest, with views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. After crossing the suspension bridge of Phungi Thanga and walking around one hour uphill we will reach Tengboche. Tengboche village has a large Buddhist monastery “Tengboche Monastery”, which is the largest gompa in the Khumbu region and is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site after that we will spend overnight at Tengboche.

Day 7 : Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300ft):5- 6 hrs.

We start our trek after having breakfast at the hotel. We walk downhill through Deboche and cross the suspension bridge then, walk uphill with the view of the rhododendron forest, birds, and a very close view of Mt. Ama Dablam and Island Peak. We stay overnight at Dingboche.

Day 8 : Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft): Acclimatization Day.

The second day of acclimatization will help us to maintain health familiar with altitude. We will allow you a full day to explore the vicinity of Dingboche. Dingboche is the gateway for the Island Peak expedition which will take a 7-8 hours uphill walk to reach the Island Peak base camp. However, we will walk up to Chhukhung (4730m) by following Imja Khola. Chhukhung is one of the popular places to get the paranormal view of Mt. Ama Dablam and Mt.Island Peak where we can spend quality time. The village also consists of several hotels and lodges for tourists. In the afternoon, we will have time to go sightseeing around the valley we will spend overnight at Dingboche.

Day 9 : Dingboche - Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft): 2-4 hrs.

We will continue our journey by walking step up in the Northwest direction by following the beautiful EBC trekking trial with some tea break on the way. After walking for two more or less hours we will be at Thokla where we will stop for our lunch. After crossing Thokla pass and walking straight uphill we will be at Lobuche where we will spend overnight.

Day 10 : Lobuche - Gorak Shep (5,170 m/16,961ft) - Everest Base Camp (5,364m/17,594ft) - Gorak Shep: 8-9 hrs.

Today is the most important and one of the most difficult days of the trekking. So, we should keep our bodies warm and prepare and build ourselves physically and mentally. We will start our trekking early in the morning after having a yummy breakfast at the hotel. The trial is long and uphill so, we will walk slowly with some breaks on the way. However, with every step of walking, we will see a closer and more panoramic view of Mt. Everest. We will check in at the lodge on Gorakshep and put our bags at the Lodge. We will stay some hours at the lodge for lunch and rest. After that, we will walk to Everest base camp which takes around a 2-3 hour uphill walk. From the base camp, we will see the stunning view of Mt. Everest with its full ranges and other popular mountain peaks. After soaking the beauty we will walk back to Gorakshep where we will stay overnight.

Day 11 : Gorak Shep - Kala Patthar (5545m/18,192ft) - Pheriche (4,730m/15,518ft): 8-9 hrs.

Kala Patthar is the last point of trekking (5545 m). We will continue to walk to Kala Patthar in the early morning for sunrise, which takes around two and a half hours of hiking. We will view the sunrise from the world's highest Mountain Mt. Everest with hot tea/coffee. We will also enjoy the amazing view of Everest and several Himalayan peaks. We will spend some hours watching Everest and taking some photos/videos. Then will walk back to Gorakshep for breakfast. After having, breakfast at the lodge, we will walk back downhill to Pheriche by the same trekking route and will spend overnight at Pheriche.

Day 12 : Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,570m/11,710ft), 6-7 hrs walk

We will walk down by following the same walking trail which passes through the rhododendron and pine forest and crosses the suspension bridges. While walking down we can see different kinds of wild birds, mountain goats, yak, and some of the mountain rare animals. On the way we will walk by Sansa from where we can see the great view of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, etc. We will walk through the forest and some steps. Finally, we will reach Namche Bazaar where we will stay overnight.

Day 13 : Namche Bazaar-Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft): 6-8 hrs

On the last day of trekking, we will begin our trek walking slowly on the steps and rocks crossing some of the popular bridges, following the Dhud Koshi river walking through pine and rhododendron forests, and passing several Sherpa villages and different Buddhist monasteries we reach Lukla and will spend overnight at Lukla.

Day 14 : Fly back to Kathmandu (1,400m/4,593 ft)

This is the last day in the Everest region. We will fly back to Kathmandu on our first flight (40min) to the Domestic airport, Kathmandu where our office staff will be waiting for you at the airport. In the evening we will have a farewell dinner with our office team leader where you can share your experience about the Everest trek. Overall, we will spend overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 15 : Departure from Kathmandu

Last day in Nepal our office staff will drop you at the airport 2 hours before your actual flight, with some good memories about us and indelible memories about trekking.

Basic Terms & Conditions

  1. On payment options, the REFERENCE or DESCRIPTION part should be filled with your full names or the name of the Safari Package.
  2. 50% of Payments must be deposited for reservation.
  3. Prices are in the assumption of full payment before the trip commences.
  4. Prices are in assumption no changes in current Park fees or Park regulations.
  5. If any unexpected changes in park or camps fees there will be a surcharge.
  6. Personal documents may be requested to verify payment if necessary or requested by the online gateway provider e.g Bank.

Refund Policy or Cancellation

Depositing money to us is an indication of readiness to make use of the tour and travel arrangements and accommodation we reserve on your behalf. All cancellations are subject to a certain charge based on estimated losses properly calculated as follows:

  1. If you cancel your trip 91 days to departure, 20% is forfeited.
  2. 61 days to 90 days, 30% of the safari cost is forfeited.
  3. 40 days to 60 days 60% of the tour cost is forfeited.
  4. 31 days to 39 days, 80% of the safari cost is forfeited.
  5. If cancellations are done one month (30 Days) to the trip or No show, 100% of the safari is forfeited.
  6. For payments not paid in full to the date of the departure, and failure of making final payments, reservations will be cancelled and no refund will be availed.
